Class Activity 1
Today in class we will be using a variety of materials to practice rendering trees, people and materials.
Remember to use layering (starting with light colours) and be wary of where the light is coming from.

Class Activity 2
Today we will be practising drawing shadows in perspective. We will learn about light source, shadow vanishing points and some different rendering techniques. We will also look at adding shadows to our site plans etc to enhance the drawings we have already done.
I would like you to try at least 3 different styles of rendering today and start to think about what style of rendering you would like to do for assessment.
I have added some student exemplars to the new page of this website for you to check out....

Rendering - AS91066
Now its your turn...
Use the information and skills we have learnt over the last couple of lessons to produce an A3 rendering of your bus shelter. This can be a sketch, isometric, perspective or plan drawing but must demonstrate the qualities outlined in the Achievement Standard above.
Use the exemplars on this website to inspire and guide you as well as working with your peers and teachers.
Remember that you only get marked on the rendering skills, not the design of your shelter.
We will have 6 lessons of class time to complete and your drawings will be due for marking on the FIRST THURSDAY OF WEEK 1, TERM 4.
